State Student Incentive Grants (SSIG): A State Government Student Grant Program

State Student Incentive Grants (SSIG) are awarded by individual state governments to residents who are full-time and part-time college students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants must demonstrate substantial financial need for this type of student grant – based on formulas established by the individual states doing the awarding.

SSIG Government Student Grant Application: Availability Information

All states offer SSIG awards to full-time students, and some also provide awards to part-time students. Most states have established residency requirements for SSIG grants – designed to prevent out-of-state students who become residents, incidental to their education, from qualifying.
